Week 66

The Girls!

Sara the hairstylist.

 Celebrating with Smores!

Whada week. Can I please tell you how fun it’s been.
I can’t tell you the details because I don’t remember them, but I do know that it was the best week ever.

Sooo last Monday we met 4 girls. They wanted to take a picture with us because we were Americans for a school project, and it turns out that they are interested in church. They came to English, They came to church, and they are coming to the party tonight. They were a highlight of the week.

Our Recent Convert Sara is a rock start. She cuts my comps hair this morning and I read her conversion story in English. She used google translator so it was adorable. It was so sincere that it made me cry. She was feeling uber lost and super sad, she met the church, changed her life around and now is so happy that she is scared it’s too good to be true. We gotta help her realize its not just a phase but a way of life. I baptized my best friend. She is the greatest Peike, and we both love to hike. I am so blessed to have been in the right place at the right time.

Michelle another one of our recent converts who got baptized a month ago was planning to go to the temple this weekend. She missed the bus the ward was taking, so she bought a train ticket got her self to Taibei. So rad! I was shocked. She did all of the temple work for the people who had passed away in her immediate family. So cool!!

RC Guo Jm also went to the temple this weekend. Cool!

Guys it was the best week ever. Recent Converts going to the temple. 7 investigators came to church on Sunday. We are helping some Less Actives come back, and I’m so so happy everyday.

I will keep you updated on my new friends. Hopefully we see a lot of progress in the next couple weeks.

You guys are all cool. I hope you have a fun first full week of summer.

Week 65

President and Sister Bishop!!

This is the office: Assistants, ZL, Office Elders and the Beiqu Jm.

My last P-day with Liang JM

My new companion Sister Busath!

Lunch with my best friends Sister Bryce and Sister Rigby!
Hi Everyone!!!

Bahh... I am so happy!! I just had such a great day today. I am training a new missionary now. I found out Tuesday morning, and she came Friday night. We went and did the Dan Jones activity with all the new missionaries.  I am training until the very end of my mission. I will be with my new companion for the 12 weeks before I go home. It’s a huge blessing. It will give me no choice but to focus on my mission and work really really hard. I am grateful for the chance to be with such a great new companion. She has so much faith, and we are going to see miracles in the next couple of months. Her name is Sister Busath and she reminds me a lot of Savanah. She is really really great and super patient. Because Liang Jm knees are so bad, they asked another Sister to come be her companion and so for the last 3 days we have been in a 4 man apartment and have had 2 companionships in the area. It’s been insane, but Sister Busath has been so chill, and laid back, and patient about it. I seriously got so lucky. Her MTC teacher was Sister Jessica Lew my trainer! Cool stuff huh! Oh and She lived in China for two years and so her Chinese is already really great!

Oh yeah! After the meeting we were walking to go to lunch and she turns to me and says: "I think this is when I tell you I have been stalking your mission blog for the last 5 months. I feel like I already know who you are!" Haha so cool.

Right now in our area we are seeing a million people blossoming and getting ready to get baptized. We seriously got so busy right as she got here, and so I am excited that she will be getting to see so much success as a trainee.

I also got to see Sister Rigby today because it is her last day?! Time goes by so stinken fast... We went out to lunch with Sister Bryce and our companions. It was so much fun, and I was so blissfully happy! It was so great seeing them! :)

Love you all so much,
Sis Lee!!

P.S. It will be fun coming home to report to President Barker and President Nuttall. :)

Week 64 - Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother’s Day Mom! It was so good talking to everyone today! I’m really excited to finish up here. The last three months of my mission is going to be the three best months of my mission. Now that I’m near the end , time is going to fly by but in the best way. :) I can’t wait to throw my self into everything. I started learning characters, and reading out of the Book of Mormon in Chinese. It is something I have avoided my whole mission, but I started on Tuesday and memorized about 100 characters already. I can’t wait to be living the dream. Thanks for the advice. You can get ready for the next set of emails. They are going to be awesome!

I talked to my companion about going to Japan with her when she gets home. I am seriously soo soo excited to go to Japan with Liang JM! She is so much fun and she has lots of money and loves to SHOP! ha

I love you Mom! Thanks for being such a great example to me, about how to keep it real, all the while knowing how this gospel works in your life. You are my best friend, and I cant wait to come home and talk to you in the front room snacking on popcorn in our pjs till 2 am talking about all the hilarious, sad, scary and crazy good times from my mission.

I Love you Mom!!

Week 63

She was an hour late for her baptism, but everyone waited for her. It was still a perfect night.
We had a the baptism scheduled for 7. Fruit was cut, cake was iced, and the primary was all there for the musical number. We had a little 8yr girl getting baptized at the same service and so when 7:20 came around and Sara still hadn't shown up we started with out her. The whole baptism went super smooth, and right as the bishopric member was saying his closing remarks Sara called. She asked what was wrong because she noticed we had called so many times. We just asked if she was coming to her baptism and she said that she was just around the corner.
She came in totally bummed, and as she started crying. She went to the bathroom to change and broke down. "This is the biggest night of my life, and I screwed it up. God is so sad that I messed up my baptism night." It was so cute, and sad to see her so sad for thinking she screwed everything up.
We told everyone that she was here, and they waited for her to get changed. The baptism went super smooth, and after she was baptized in her testimony she said that she totally forgot how sad she had just been. She bore her testimony that she was Gods daugther, and that she knew this church was true. She said that as she has been investigating the church she found her child within and that she knew that through the power of the atonement she was able to feel so happy again. It was a great night.
She was a self contact when I was serving with Sister Hancok. She dissapeard for about a month, but a couple weeks ago she came to church, and and been to church ever since for 5 weeks. She is so great. We are such good friends, and I feel so lucky to have seen her grow and change its so inspiring. :) She was originally supposed to get baptized in a couple weeks, but she was too busy and so she surprised us and asked us if she could get baptized this week.
It such an amazing experience beign a missionary. You learn and grow in such uncomfortable ways, but its all so worth it because you get to see miracles like Sara everyday.
I love you!
