Saying Goodbye

We took Camille to the airport early Wednesday morning. It was a very bitter-sweet moment. We are all going to miss her so much but we are super happy that she is going on her mission to Taiwan.

The Call!

I got my mission call, and I am going to the Taichung, Taiwan mission. Can you believe it? Yeah, me either.

So opening my mission call makes the: "Top 5 favorite things I have ever done in my life" list. I wanted to cry, and laugh, and pass out, and pee my pants, and throw up, and scream all at the same time. It was so great.

My mother had out done herself and decorated the whole house. We had a guess map, badge cake, luggage balloons, and happy streamers to celebrate.

My Grandma and Uncle Rob drove down from Utah just to be there. My Grandma has passed away since then, and so having her be there was the most special part.

I love being a big sister.

It is kinda like being a Mom, but you DON'T have to wake up early, give birth, or clean up throw up. It is kinda like being a Mom, but you DO still get to love them with all your heart, you still get to be there to wipe their tears, and put them in time out. You still get kisses no matter how many of their friends are around. You get to hear the best secrets that end with "don't tell mom". You get to drive them all over the place, and you even make them check in just to make sure they are safe. You get to give great advice from "years of experience" and get to hear their favorite part of the day when you tuck them in at night.
Yesterday I was walking Kade to a friends house, and he challenged me to count to one-hundred. There is no grater feeling then impressing your kindergarten brother, and seeing the look on his face when he tells you that you can count higher then anyone he knows. It was so cute, it made me cry. Man, I love my littles. I hope they love me even when I am old and have kids of my own someday. I love being a big sister.

I have 5 girls in my family, and when we get together we have a lot of fun... We decided to go to California last weekend and do what girls do best; we shopped till we dropped, ate until we couldn't eat no more, swam until we drown, took pictures until our memory card was full, and drove until car broke down. It was such a great weekend.
